Tottenham are interested in signing Real Betis striker Antonio Sanabria this month, according to the Independent.

Sanabria has scored two goals in 14 La Liga appearances this season and five goal across all competitions.

Spurs were linked with the Paraguay international in 2016 before he left AS Roma for Real Betis.

And according to the Independent, Tottenham could now go back in for Sanabria, who has a €30 million release clause in his contract.

His goal tally hasn’t been overly impressive this term, but at 22-year-old’s age means he has the potential to improve, and Mauricio Pochettino could be the ideal manager to make that happen.

The Independent’s report claims Spurs are actively trying to sign a striker in the current transfer window follow Harry Kane’s injury.

Kane has been ruled out until March and the squad is even shorter up front with Son Heung-min away at the Asian Cup with South Korea.

As a result, Tottenham are likely to be linked with plenty more strikers from now until the end of the month – whether Sanabria is a genuine option remains to be seen.
