ARSENAL legend Patrick Vieira is being eyed by Lyon after impressing as Nice boss.
And Lyon coach Bruno Genesio could be on the way out when his contract ends in June this year, despite hte French giants currently sitting in third place.
Ex-New York City manager Vieira’s contract runs until 2021.
But the 42-year-old is thought to have a clause in his deal, allowing him to leave if Rivere and Fournier go.
But the peak of Vieira’s career was winning the World Cup with France in 1998 and the European Championships two years later.
After playing out his career with Manchester City, he patiently learnt his coaching trade at the Etihad.
He joined City’s training and youth development team before becoming their reserves’ boss and Elite Development Squad manager.
Vieira departed for the MLS in 2016, helping NYC improve in each season, from 17th to fourth to runners-up.
Now he could be set for just a single season with Nice – if they maintain their solid form and Genesio departs Lyon in the summer after four years in charge.
