HARRY KANE stepped things up in training as he edges closer to a stunning return from injury.
The Tottenham star could even feature for Mauricio Pochettino‘s side this weekend in the home game against Burnley.
Kane, 25, was expected to be out until March with ankle-ligament damage suffered in Tottenham’s defeat to Manchester United in mid-January.
But as SunSport revealed on Tuesday, the Spurs skipper returned to training to give his boss and fans a huge boost.
Pochettino has four straight wins without Kane, including last week’s victory over Borussia Dortmund.
But with the Londoners very much in the mix in the Premier League title chase as well as the Champions League, having Kane back could prove pivotal.
Heung-Min Son has led the Spurs attack without their talisman and has netted in all four wins, with Fernando Llorente also running into good form.
And having Kane back on the team-sheet will get Poch closer to having a full squad, with Dele Alli back at the start of March and Ben Davies closing in on a return.
