Kolasinac dismisses transfer talk as Arsenal search for new left-back amid Tierney and Tagliafico links

SEAD KOLASINAC played down transfer speculation as he admitted he is “very happy” at Arsenal.

The Gunners have been linked with a number of left-backs including Kieran Tierney and Nicolas Tagliafico, but the Bosnian star is not fazed.

Kolasinac has cemented his spot in Unai Emery’s first-team since he joined from Schalke in June 2017.

He has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, but is aware of the club’s interest in signing a new left-back.

But the 24-cap Bosnia international admitted it is what he has to expects at a club like Arsenal.

Speaking to Goal, he said: “I think you will always have that speculation, that happens at a club like this.

“I just look at us as a team at the moment and I want us to finish as positively as possible and I want to be a part of that.

“What happens in the summer, I don’t know. But I’m very happy at Arsenal, I’m really pleased to be playing for a club like this.”

‘I’M 100 PER CENT’

Arsenal will reportedly rival Leicester for Tierney this summer after his incredible season with Celtic.

And the Gunners received a boost in their pursuit to sign Tagliafico from Ajax as he admitted it could be time to move on.

But Kolasinac admitted he is now back to his best after a knee injury kept him out of action at the start of the season.

He added: “I feel good. At the start of the season I was injured and it was hard to come back when you have that sort of injury.

“But I’m 100 per cent now, I’m happy to help my team and to get a few assist as well.”

Discussing Emery’s approach, Kolasinac said: “We watch a lot of videos, he and the rest of the coaching staff really try to help.

“We always watch those videos together to improve.

“A day after a game we will look at what’s gone well, what’s not gone well and we’ll speak about it honestly and try to make those improvements so they show in the next game.”

Arsenal are slumped at sixth in the table after last week’s defeat to Everton, but Kolasinac claimed they are determined to finish in the top four.

He said: “It would mean a lot for us all, we really want to be back in the Champions League. It’s what the fans want and it’s what the players want, we want to sure that we’re there.”
