Aaron Ramsey transfer from Arsenal guarantees Cristiano Ronaldo will win Champions League with Juventus next year

AARON RAMSEY’S summer switch will guarantee Champions League glory for Cristiano Ronaldo next season, according to the latest fan theory.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has only won the European competition when he has had a Welshman in his team.

Aaron Ramsey will be playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo next season

Juventus crashed out of the Champions League after a shock 3-2 defeat to Ajax on aggregate.

It marks the first time that Ronaldo has not reached the semi-final stage of the competition since the 2009/10 season.

He has lifted the trophy on five occasions – four times with Madrid and with Manchester United in 2008.

But eagle-eyed fans have noticed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has always won it with a Welsh player by his side.

At United, he was named in the squad alongside 64-cap Wales international Ryan Giggs.

And with the Spanish giants, he played alongside Cardiff-born forward Gareth Bale.

Fans on Reddit are now convinced that Ramsey’s transfer to the Juventus Stadium will make them firm favourites next season.

The Arsenal midfielder has signed a £400,000-a-week deal to join the Serie A leaders this summer.

Ahead of his move, one fan said: “Ronaldo has never won a UCL without a Welshman in his team. Next season Ramsey joins Juve. Juve to win the Champions League with Ramsey.”

One Gunners supporter said: “Quick cancel the contract.”

Before another Arsenal fan added: “But we’re winning it next season?”

And one hopeful Reddit user predicted: “Not if he scores an own goal against Arsenal in the final.”
