MANCHESTER CITY might not quite be the invincible, but Pep Guardiola does possess his very own ZINVINCIBLE.
Oleksandr Zinchenko continued his amazing 100 per cent Premier League record in a City shirt as the league leaders defeated neighbours Manchester United on Wednesday.
Goals from Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane silenced Old Trafford as the 2-0 triumph took Guardiola’s men one point clear of Liverpool in the title race.
And despite the champagne still being on ice with the three league matches left for both City and the Reds, the result was enough for the club to write their name into the history books.
The Cityzens have now scored 157 times in all competitions this season, the most by any side in the English top-flight ever, smashing their own record-setting tally in the 2013/14 campaign.
However, Ukrainian star Zinchenko’s own incredible stats are arguably even more impressive.
The 22-year-old midfielder, who has also been operating at full-back, has taken his Prem winning streak to an astonishing 19-0 after the derby delight.
Former Ufa ace and PSV-loanee Zinchenko began his run after coming off the bench for his bow in a 4-0 victory over Swansea back in December 2017.
He continued his winning ways sporadically over the next year before showing it was no fluke when given the opportunity.
Guardiola has placed his trust in him at left-back over recent weeks, starting with the 1-0 success over West Ham on February 27.
Zinchenko has then gone on to maintain not only his place but the fabulous run since.
And Manchester United are now on his ever-growing list of conquers following his latest start for the reigning champions.
Now Guardiola must be tempted to keep the star involved for the crunch title run-in as they close in on a second-successive championship.

The Cityzens travel to Burnley on Sunday before then entertaining Leicester City the following Monday.
And both Pep and City supporters will have their fingers-crossed Zinchenko ends the season away to Brighton with not only a Prem winners’ medal but with a tally of 22-0.
