LIVERPOOL sent scouts to watch Memphis Depay in action for Lyon against Marseille, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp is eyeing a summer swoop for the former Manchester United flop, who has nine goals and 13 assists this season.
According to Mercato 365, Liverpool scouts also took the chance to watch Houssem Aouar and Tanguy Ndombele.
Lyon won the match 3-0 after Maxwel Cornet scored twice and Moussa Dembele found the net.
Depay could be set for a return to the Premier League this summer following his impressive spell of form.
The Dutch star failed to live up to expectations in England during his brief spell at Old Trafford from 2015 to 2017.
He moved to the French club in 2017 for £16m, but Bruno Genesio’s side are expected to demand around £26m for him this summer.
It was reported last month that Depay had emerged as the top target to replace Real Madrid target Sadio Mane.
The Spanish side have been monitoring the 26-year-old – but he is expected to cost them more than £130m.
Aouar is another option for Klopp this summer following his incredible breakthrough season in Ligue 1.
