Tottenham Hotspur star Christian Eriksen will finalise a transfer to Real Madrid after the Champions League final, according to reports in Spain.

Eriksen has been mooted as one of several players Madrid are said to be chasing as Zinedine Zidane plans a summer overhaul of his squad.

Last week, we relayed reports suggesting Eriksen may be convinced to stay at Spurs if there is a clause in his new contract that allows him to leave for Real Madrid or Barcelona.

But with Madrid seemingly interested in a move for the Dane now, there is no reason for Eriksen to agree to such a clause.

And Spanish outlet El Chiringuito (via Sport Witness) claims Eriksen will be a Madrid player after the Champions League final.

Indeed, Eriksen could be a champion of Europe if Tottenham beat Liverpool in Madrid on June 1st.

But the lure of Real Madrid, who are the current Champions League holders, may be too strong for the 27-year-old to turn down.

There are certain to be plenty more similar stories until Eriksen either confirms he is leaving or signs a new deal with Spurs.
