KYLE WALKER is set to open talks over a new Manchester City contract.
England’s right-back, 29, has three years left on his contract but will be offered an extension to commit himself to the Etihad beyond 2022.
Ex-Tottenham defender Walker — who cost City £50million two years ago — will see his wages soar beyond £150,000-a-week.
Pep Guardiola is close to a £50million swoop for Juventus’ full-back Joao Cancelo, 25.
But Etihad boss Pep wants the Portuguese as cover when Danilo, 27, quits City in search of regular first-team football.
Walker remains firmly in Guardiola’s plans as they aim for a hat-trick of Premier League titles next season.
A significant amount of cash is being put into the City defence this summer.

Along with Walker and Cancelo, the club are targetting Harry Maguire for an £80m move.
The centre-back is seen as a towering replacement for Vincent Kompany.
But Guardiola is understood to prefer a left-footed signing but have neighbours Manchester United for company – although both are bulking at Leicester City’s demands.
