BAYERN MUNICH are still hopeful of securing a deal for Manchester City ace Leroy Sane, according to reports.
The German winger, 23, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad this summer after refusing to commit to a new deal.
According to Christian Falk of Bild, Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is still confident of securing Sane’s signature.
The report claims the German side have been contact in with the 23-year-old, but nothing has been agreed so far.
Manchester City have slapped a £90m price-tag on Sane, who joined the club from Schalke in 2016.
It was reported that Bayern’s opening bid of £70.7m was swiftly rejected by the reigning Premier League champions.
Sane is under contract at the Etihad for two more years, but Pep Guardiola’s men are trying to tie him down with a new deal.
SunSport revealed that the 21-cap Germany international is set to snub move to Germany to continue his career in the Premier League.
But he has been urged by former Arsenal star Serge Gnabry to quit the Blues in favour of the German giants.
