TOTTENHAM have hijacked Arsenal’s move for William Saliba with an improved £27million bid for the St Etienne defender, say reports in France.
Spurs are set to use the money from their sale of Toby Alderweireld to Roma on the long-term Gunners target.
Arsenal are thought to have bid £25m for the St Etienne defender, 18, but have been beaten to the punch by their bitter rivals.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino is continuing his busy summer having already secured a deal for club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele and ex-Leeds ace Jack Clarke.
And with Gunners boss Unai Emery having a limited transfer budget to contend with, he has been outbid by his North London rival.
