And Goal report boss Pochettino as saying: “I hope he will stay. But you know, there is a lot of interest.

“I hope yes, but I don’t know what is going to happen with that.”

Eriksen was understood to be keen on joining Zinedine Zidane‘s Real revamp.

And his family are believed to have been house-hunting in Madrid.

But United’s Paul Pogba is still thought to be Zidane’s priority as a new playmaker.

And Spurs‘ £80million valuation of Eriksen is another huge obstacle for a switch to la Liga.

So the former Ajax star is reportedly now hoping Old Trafford chief Ole Gunnar Solskjaer steps up his interest.

Solskjaer, though, is fighting to keep French World Cup winner Pogba, 26.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are close to selling England right-back Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid.

Football London say Spurs gave the 28-year-old permission to have a medical ahead of a possible £25million deal.
