LUKE SHAW has hit back at wantaway Manchester United team-mate Romelu Lukaku for “leaking” the club’s speed statistics.
Lukaku, a target for Juventus and Inter Milan, highlighted left-back Shaw’s lack of pace.
The statistics revealed Shaw was worst in terms of speed, while the Belgium striker, often accused of lacking pace, was one of United‘s fastest players last term.
But Shaw, 24, was not happy at the leak and in a reply to Lukaku he posted: “They only wanted me to go 70% don’t let me start speaking on you boy.”
Lukaku had posted the times of each player’s maximum speed during training.
He showed that he hit figures of 36.25 km/h (22.52 mp/h) – the second fastest player in the squad behind Diogo Dalot who reached 36.43.
Showing the results on Twitter he demanded supporters quash talk of his “lack of pace”.
After posting the message on social media, he quickly deleted his tweet.
