FLAMENGO reportedly agreed to sign Mario Balotelli’s brother Enock to seal a deal before the maverick striker snubbed a move.

The Brazilian side are keen to sign the mad-cap forward, 29, and were apparently willing to bring his sibling along for the ride.

Enock Balotelli, left, was at man City with brother Mario

But Balotelli is now set to return to his hometown with Brescia, according to Marca.

Flamengo offered Balotelli a two-year contract and their Serie D affiliate Boavista could have accommodated the unusual demand, which allegedly included a clause guaranteeing him at least ten games.

Enock, 26, is also a striker and played for Manchester City’s academy while his elder brother was in the first team.

But he has since spent his career with minnows in Malta and Italy.

Balotelli grew up in Brescia and looks likely to agree a three-year deal to return to his homeland.

The ex-City ace is not the only man to be followed to a club by their sibling.

Thorgan Hazard arrived at Chelsea alongside superstar Eden but did not get much of a first-team chance.

He has thrived since quitting Stamford Bridge, however, as he impressed at Borussia Monchengladbach.

Dortmund signed the attacking midfielder, 26, this summer and will hope he can continue his rise.

Eden, meanwhile, has bought a £10million mansion in a plush Madrid suburb.
