The two sides have never met but Legia were involved in a controversial Champions League qualifier with the Gers’ fierce rivals Celtic five years ago.

The Polish club were 6-1 aggregate winners but the second leg result was expunged by Uefa after they fielded an ineligible player.

Celtic were then handed a 3-0 win and went through on away goals with the aggregate score revised to 4-4.

The first leg of this Europa League playoff will take place on Thursday, August 22.
Kick off is at 7pm – 8pm in Poland.
The match will be held at the Polish Army Stadium, Warsaw.
