JACK BUTLAND was trolled on social media after his pair of howlers during Stoke’s Championship clash at Preston.
The English stopper conceded two goals in the first 25 minutes and fans were not happy.
Aston Villa were interested in the keeper during the summer transfer window but opted for Burnley’s Tom Heaton instead after Stoke demanded a monumental fee for Butland.
The Potters slapped a £25million price tag on the 26-year-old and supporters online were quick to question their logic after the two clangers.
After just six minutes, Butland let Daniel Johnson’s tame effort from outside the box past him low down to his left.
Before Billy Bodin’s equally speculative shot squirmed under the former England man on 25 minutes – in a save Butland would definitely have expected to make.
Fans were quick to slam the Englishman whose team went in 2-0 down at half-time.
