FRANK LAMPARD has revealed that Antonio Rudiger is still not ready to return to the starting XI as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
The Blues backline has been shaky to say the least in the opening matches of the Premier League season.
A 4-0 defeat against Manchester United was followed by a 1-1 draw with Leicester, while Chelsea also lost to Liverpool in the Uefa Super Cup.
Speaking of the German defender, Lampard said in his pre-match press conference: “Rudiger is not fit yet, but hopefully next week.”
Kurt Zouma and Andres Christensen will likely start for the fourth game in a row, with Emerson Palmieri and Cesar Azpilicueta to start at left and right full-back respectively.
Neither centre-back has covered themselves in glory with the Frenchman in particular criticised after the opening day hammering at Manchester United.
A goal against the Foxes should keep Mason Mount in the team with and Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic completing the midfield three.
N’Golo Kante is currently nursing an ankle injury, and is a major doubt to face the Canaries.
Lampard said: “Kante has got an injury he has carried all week.
“We will assess that over the next 24 hours to see if he is fit. It is an ankle strain.”
