Danny Rose has left the rest of the England squad and hasn’t travelled to Sofia for their Euro 2020 qualifier against Bulgaria tomorrow night.

The Tottenham defender, who has endured a difficult start to the season for both club and country, probably wouldn’t haven’t started after his woeful performance in the Three Lions’ shock defeat against the Czech Republic on Friday, but is suspended for the game anyway after collecting his third yellow card of the group and will therefore serve a one-match ban.

He will now return to Hotspur Way and join the rest of his Spurs team-mates who weren’t involved on international duty as they prepare for their return to Premier League action when Watford visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

But Rose will be available for England’s final two matches of 2019 when they host Montenegro on 14 November before travelling to Kosovo in their final qualifier three days later.
