HE might not have got his Arsenal off to a winning start, but Freddie Ljungberg is the bookies favourite for the job full-time.
After Unai Emery was sacked following the dismal 2-1 home defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt, Ljungberg has stepped into the breach.
But he was unable to guide his side to victory at the weekend as the Gunners drew 2-2 away at Norwich.
But that result hasn’t worked against him as far as Ladbrokes’ odds go for him landing the job.
The Swede is 4/1, the same price as out-of-work Italian Max Allegri.
Next in the betting is former Arsenal midfielder and now Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta at 5/1.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, who continues to impress having guided the Foxes well and truly in title contention, is next best at 7/1.
HERO SET TO RETURN?
Further down the betting comes former Gunners ace Patrick Vieira.
The 43-year-old is currently manager of French outfit Nice, but would surely snap Arsenal’s hand off to replace Emery at The Emirates.
Rodgers could be a good bet, after SunSport reported how he has a a clause in his contract allowing him to leave if a big offer came in for him.
