FORMER Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara is undergoing extensive laser surgery to remove giant tattoos plastered across his body as his TV work takes off.
The 33-year-old is in demand for pundit work both on television and the radio and is now ashamed of his messy inkings.
He’s covered in designs that include a bright red lipstick kiss on his neck and a visible cross design that covers his neck and chest, plus oriental writing on his arms.
O’Hara– manager of non-league side Billericay – showed a video him undergoing laser treatment at a clinic in London on Instagram.
And the ex-Spurs ace – who had an acrimonious split from model Danielle Lloyd – explained his reasons for having them removed.
The former Wolves man – who has bravely spoken about his battle with mental health issues in the past – claimed he doesn’t like the way he looks in front of the camera with tattoos.
He said: “Decided to remove my neck tattoos and other old tattoos due to my job on TV and the way it makes me look, went through a stage of not knowing who I was so covered myself in tattoos.
“Thanks to @skinrenewlondon for making me so easy about the process and the amazing laser you have.”
O’Hara – who also played for the likes of Portsmouth, Fulham, Gillingham and Blackpool – has three sons with Lloyd.
