Beliebers have something new to believe in — a new single from Justin.

After a rocky summer during which Bieber attracted more than enough negative attention (remember when he ditched his pet Capuchin monkey in Germany and spit on his fans from a balcony in Toronto?), it sounds like he’s ready to make up for the bad behavior with a sultry, slow-burning single called Heartbreaker.

The song is receiving positive feedback, with critics describing Bieber’s vocals as mature and soulful, with the style and beat sounding like R&B from the early ’00s . The song even features a confession style spoken-word section, with Beiber saying “What I hope you understand / is that despite all the imperfections of who I am / I still wanna be your man.”
