Miley has been causing quite a reaction ever since she ditched her good girl 'Hannah Montana' style and turned to wrecking rooms and licking sledge hammers. However, her new album proves that she's still got talent behind all that nakedness.

There are many things Miley Cyrus gets recognized for, but a fan of her style or not, her new album Bangerz is an impressive piece of art. It’s a perfect combination of dance beats for the club and love ballads that are most likely about Liam Hemsworth. Let’s not forget the collaborations she’s got, featuring some of the hottest names in music.
Miley Cyrus’ ‘Bangerz’: The Heartfelt Ballads
Miley’s attitude, sexiness and emotion all come out in full force on Bangerz. If you’re one of the few people who haven’t streamed it yet, we’re here to give you a run down of the things you need to know.
The album starts with “Adore You,” a ballad that immediately showcases Miley’s amazing voice and range. It’s heartfelt, and seems to be completely about Liam, as does “Drive.” The lyrics for both are about a love so strong and painful — which we know Miley has experience with.
One of Miley’s collaborations if with Future for “My Darlin’,” which features a remix of “Stand By Me.” At a first listen, it seems off and boring. But listening again, it’s actually genius in a way — the slow ballad is emotional and their chemistry comes through through the beautiful harmony. I’m loving here Miley’s softer side in her voice.
Both “Maybe You’re Right” and “Someone Else” are full of intense and real emotion from Miley — “you can blame me for who I am . . . You might think I’m crazy, that I’m lost and foolish leaving you behind. Maybe you’re right” — it’s 100 percent about Liam, as she even says “this chapter’s done.” It’s so nice to hear Miley’s strong, emotional side come through — just like it did in “Wrecking Ball.”
‘Bangerz’ Is Full Of Bangin’ Dance Songs
Miley worked with Big Sean in one of the most ridiculous and equally fun hits on the album is “Love, Money, Party.” Regardless if you’re sitting in your room listening, you’re dancing. It’s impossible not to! Miley’s rapping is a little absurd, but totally entertaining.
My favorite hit on the album is #GETITRIGHT — because even though the lyrics couldn’t be more raunchy, the beat and the whistling is so catchy. I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t make it on the radio, but in a way, it sounds like old, innocent Miley, but the lyrics . . . well, let’s just say they fit the naked Miley more than Hannah.
“FU,” features French Montana and for some reason, I forget how much I adore until I play it again. It contains a huge amount of abbreviations, but for some reason works. It really makes me rock out no matter where I am. Sure, the lyrics are a little lame — “I’ve got two letters for you, one is ‘f’ and the other one’s ‘u’” — but it has a Amy Winehouse-feel to it, showing her huge range and ability to make her music slide. It’s a great mix of ballad with real jam.
‘Bangerz’: Where It Falls Flat
One must-talk-about miss on the album is “SMS (Bangerz),” Miley’s collaboration with her idol Britney Spears. As a Brit fan, it hurts me to say, this song is just plain outrageous — and not in a good way. It’s a good song for the club when the strobe lights, but unfortunately is just repeats itself over and over again.
Then there’s Miley’s pair up with Nelly for “4×4,” which is Miley talking, and saying “round and around, and away we go” over and over again.
Overall, the album is awesome when it’s awesome and flat lines when it falls. Listen to the full album then let us know what you think!
