Prince George Christening: A guest list and the surprise godparent - Video and Photos Gallery

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, arrive with Prince George at Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace in central London on Oct. 23, 2013, ahead of the christening of the prince.

He was on his best behaviour. With the eyes of the world on him, His Royal Highness Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge put on a perfect display of royal etiquette.
In an historic ceremony which brought together four generations of the Royal Family, the three-month-old future king was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace yesterday.
Dressed in a handmade replica of Queen Victoria’s daughter’s christening robe, George bore a striking resemblance to his father at a similar age.

Prince William, looking handsome in a navy suit and light blue tie, held his adorable baby boy, who was wearing the traditional lace-and-silk baptismal robe. (Nearly every royal babe has worn the same gown since 1841, which was first fashioned for Queen Victoria's son, the future King Edward VII.) Mom Middleton looked stunning in a cream-colored skirt suit and matching fascinator.



Before entering the Chapel Royal, Prince George's parents briefly chatted outside with guests including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry. Prince William was asked how his son was doing, and replied, "So far, so good." He was also heard commenting that baby George had just stopped crying.
A source told Us Weekly that the Duke and Duchess are "very excited" and Prince George "has been as good as gold."
