Scientists discover where human consciousness is located

A group of scientists from the University of Oxford have discovered the part of the brain where human consciousness is.

According to investigators, the voice of conscience is in the prefrontal cortex, a brain region that began to deeply investigate more than 150 years ago because it participates in many of the cognitive processes and language.

The research has been carried out on samples with scanners TRM (Magnetic Resonance Tomography) to humans and monkeys, which has led to find an area of the cortex that is unmatched in the latter. This is the lateral prefrontal cortex, where, according to them, the voice of conscience is housed.
