WHO: Report warns of alarming progress of cancer cases

Within two decades 22 million cases of cancer will be diagnosed each year, according to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

The document, produced by Bernard Stewart and Christopher Wild, alerts you to the need for prevention strategies to limit the incidence of the disease.

According Wild said, "early to complement improved treatments and address the alarming increase in the cancer burden globally diagnosis is desperately needed."

Also, the authors, who are members of the international organization, recalled that in 2012 only 14 million new cancers, especially lung, breast and colon were diagnosed.
