Gareth Bale is growing in stature every week, he poses a huge threat to any team that he faces and the last thing the opposition want to hear is Bale himself laying down the gauntlet, it simply frightens the hell out of the them.
Bale was of course complimentary to Newcastle, it is the diplomatic thing to do, but he has left Newcastle in no doubt that he is up for this game,
“We’ve been playing great football and we know we’ll going to have to be at 100 per cent at Newcastle,” said Bale.
“Newcastle are a good team, in good form and we’ll have to play well.
“We know Newcastle’s threats. We’ve been working on the training pitch to hopefully exploit their weaknesses and get ahead of them.
“We’re on a great run, we want to continue that form at Newcastle and get the victory.”
Cannot have said it better myself, we want to continue that form at Newcastle and get the victory, and with Bale it the sort of form he is, it will take a army to stop him.
Bale’s comments just prove to me and anyone else with an ounce of common sense that the Spurs dressing room is confident and united, there is no disharmony, no matter what the press try to portray and I fully expect to see Bale tearing apart the Newcastle defence today.
