In a petition to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the language assistant is also described for desktops. So far it was to have only for iOS devices.

Apple seems to plan, his touch known from iPhone, iPad and iPod virtual assistant Siri to bring in future also on the Mac. For now at least speaks a published patent application by the Group in the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The document is titled "Intelligent digital assistant in a desktop environment."
Apple describes it as a Siri-like system that runs on an OS X-like surface. In illustrative images including a menu bar, desktop icons, application windows and a dock can be seen. Interestingly, Apple describes the screen as a touch-sensitive, while there is still no (official) Macs with touchscreen.
