Digital communication should not replace real human encounters, is Pope Francis. Nevertheless, he praises the opportunity offered by the Internet to connect with people.

Pope Francis calls his church to be open to the Internet and the digital world. He also exhorted to responsible use of the World Wide Web, and more communication, offline, from person to person.
In a statement issued by the Vatican on Thursday embassy Francis described the Internet as a fraught with risks gift of God. It offers greater possibilities of encounter and solidarity, but the digital world could also lead to the separation of our neighbor or to the exclusion of those who do not have access to it. The notification Francis had recorded for the World Day of Social Communications, which on 1 June is celebrated.
"The speed of information exceeds our reflection and judgment", Francis warns therein. "If communication mainly serves to induce the consumer, we are dealing with a violent aggression," said the head of the church. The connection through the network must be accompanied by a real encounter, because man can not alone and closed in on itself live.
