Tottenham should offload 5 players this January

After the shocking 3-0 home defeat against London rivals West Ham United, fans were chomping at the bit to tell us exactly which players they think should be leaving their squad.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as our landlord notes that it is finally time for them to tell us which players they would like to get rid of this January.

Spurs fans see their team as title challengers this season, and as our landlord points out, they still need to bring in a couple of players in certain areas - notably in the striking department. Andre Villas-Boas will need to free up some space in his squad after spending lavish fees on some fine talent already this summer.

As we all know, Daniel Levy is a shrewd operator, and still has a little bit of cash to spend this winter. Our punters note that he probably has an ace or two up his sleeve but before we talk about that, here are five players we think need to leave the club.
